A Legacy of Educational Excellence

KIPP SoCal Public Schools is a network of 20 charter public elementary and middle schools operating within Los Angeles, Compton, and San Diego Unified School Districts.

Who We Are

KIPP SoCal was founded to confront the shortcomings of public education for students of color in under-resourced Southern California communities. Partnering with families and communities, we create joyful, academically excellent schools that empower students with the skills and confidence to choose their own paths—whether college, career, or beyond—and to lead fulfilling lives while striving for a more just world.

I don’t think I would be attending John Hopkins University had I not attended KIPP. My counselor really built a connection with me. As a KIPPster, you have an advantage. If you’re passionate about pursuing higher education as a first-generation college student, KIPP will help you succeed.
