Safe Foundations

Every student deserves a safe, permanent, and inspiring place to learn. At KIPP SoCal, our campuses are more than school buildings—they’re anchors in the communities we serve, built on trust, safety, and opportunity. Thanks to your generosity, we’ve already completed two of three new permanent campuses, giving more KIPPsters the stability and sense of belonging they deserve.

New Middle School Campus

KIPP Compton Community Upper School is currently our only KIPP SoCal campus without a permanent home. As our community continues to grow—expanding to serve grades 5–8 by the 2026–27 school year—the need for a dedicated, long-term space has never been greater.

New Community School Center

For years, the Palms Motel, located between our South Los Angeles schools—KIPP Empower Academy (TK–4) and KIPP Academy of Opportunity (5–8)—posed a threat to the safety and well-being of our students and families. The site was long associated with crime, drug activity, and sex trafficking, directly exposing thousands of children to harm. In 2022, KIPP SoCal took action—acquiring and demolishing the Palms Motel to reclaim the space for our community. Today, we’re reimagining this space as a vibrant Community School Center, a place where students and families can learn, play, and connect in safety and pride.
